This assignment has 2 requirements, both of which should be uploaded to MYLO:

  1. Proposal in PowerPoint plus in-person to assessor
  2. Peer Feedback on Draft Proposal for another student (Feedback Template provided)

1.       Proposal (maximum 800 words including slide notes, maximum 8 slides / 10 minute in-person presentation)

You will not be preparing the advice for this assignment, you will prepare the ‘Proposal for Advice’ only. The purpose of a proposal for advice is to demonstrate your credentials, experience and capability to provide relevant advice in a competitive process for the chosen topic.

Your proposal should be communicated in a style that is compelling and appropriate to the target audience.

Where you do not have sufficient information to populate any area of the proposal, you can include headings, proforma tables or text.

The presentation should use good design considerations for PowerPoint presentations by including appropriate amounts of text and elements of visual interest on the slides that complement your in- person verbal presentation.

You will exchange Draft Proposals with another student for Peer Feedback, refer timeframes. Your final presentation should incorporate feedback received.

2.       Peer Feedback (maximum 200 words)

When you have your Draft Proposal ready for review, email the Unit Coordinator to be matched with another student for a Peer Feedback exchange.

Review the Draft Proposal prepared by the student you are matched with. Formulate brief feedback using the template provided, to help refine and improve their final proposal.

Email your feedback to the student. Aim to return your feedback to the student within 48 hours of receiving the match.

PowerPoint Presentation (in-person)

You will be presenting the proposal in-person using the PowerPoint as an aid to an assessor (hypothetical client). For the purposes of the style of presentation for the meeting, you should aim to be professional but engaging.
