Part B – Role Play: Conduct the training session

Use the training session plan you have prepared in Part A, and conduct a training session on how to use your templates to 2 colleagues at CrossFit Endurance.

This is a role play. You must play the role of the Business Development Manager of CrossFit Endurance. Your assessor will organise two volunteers to play the roles of your colleagues, the trainees.

The duration of the training session will be 15 minutes.
Prior to the role play, you must:

  • prepare two copies of each template’s instruction sheet
  • prepare two sample print outs of each template (for the invoice, you may leave the services, rates and costs field blank)

In this task, you must:

  • provide a set of print outs with instruction sheets and document samples to each trainee
  • follow your training session plan (developed in Part A of this assessment task), and deliver training to your trainees
  • assess trainees at the end of the session, and ensure that they can open new documents based on templates, run automations, and save documents as per the file naming and saving conventions.
  • use effective listening and questioning techniques to assess trainees’ skills
  • demonstrate that you can adjust the language you use to suit the different needs and level of understanding of each trainee

Your assessor will ensure that you have access to two computers for the purpose of training.
You must ensure that copies of both templates (GP Letter Template and Invoice) and both databases (Appendices E and G) are saved on each computer.

Your assessor will observe your performance in this task, and assess you using the Role Play Observation Checklist for this task.
