Assessment 2: Media Log

Assessment 2: Media Log based on Lecture Material in Weeks Two – Five  Worth 10%

Students are to submit the Media Log to their tutors in their week five tutorial on paper.

Media Log Instructions: 

Find a relevant NEWS article on each of the following five topic areas describing the content of (or the main points of) each of the articles in 100-150 words. The articles should be as recent as possible, with the target range 2018 - 2019. 

The articles should be sourced from quality media (online) sources. These can include ABC News, The Guardian, The Australian, The Australian Financial Review, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age. 

Constitutions:

For example the constitutional referendum on Indigenous recognition

Federalism
For example Commonwealth and State Government relations

Political Institutions

For example Parliament/s, Cabinet, Ministers, elections

Political Actors

For example political parties, interest groups, lobbyists 

Neoliberalism and/or Globalization

For example privatization, free trade agreements, international agreements
