Online Tutoring on Ethical Dilemma
One of the main ethical dilemmas that have been identified is that the customers are taking too long to make decisions on the food items that they need in the fast food restaurant. This is the longer time that not only makes the other customers wait even longer but also the overall speed of serving by the over the counters employees is also slow. On the contrary, the profits that can be earned by the company with faster speed of serving the customers are also placed into a greater risk (Rogerson, Weckert, & Simpson, 2000). Thereby there is a need that the customers realize that they make decisions faster and in a timely manner as the employees wait to serve the other customers. However, this also places some level of responsibility on the fats food company, as they need to make changes that can help the customers in making faster and timely decisions. This is the ethical dilemma that will be discussed in this report in the light of Australian Computer Society Code of Professional Conduct.
One of the main ethical conducts that needs to be followed by the fats food company is to show professionalism. In this case, more strategic decisions need to be made by the fast food company in making better changes in the fast food restaurants so the customers can make timely decisions. Some of the main changes that have been recommended include making a new online website with the help of which the customers can place their orders online. The customers are then given the freedom of paying over the counters or with the help of their credit cards (Rogerson & Fidler, n.d.) Other than this one of the main aspect that needs to be taken care of by the company is that they need to adopt the strategies that can help it in performing better. There is a need that the company realizes its responsibility towards the customers, which is also, one of the main ethical dilemma in the workplace that need to be seen by the company. The main aim of the company should be to serve the customers in the best way possible. In these cases, it needs to be mentioned here that the customers need to be facilitated in the best way possible. When the fats food chain restaurants are taken into account, it is seen that the main facilities that are required by the customers in the fast food chain restaurants are not provided. Some of these facilities include better menus, better ways with the help of which the customers can make their choices regarding the fast food they need. Other than this one of them main requirement is that of a better and a more organized menu in which the fast food items are better organized. When the food items are more organized on the menu, the customers would be provided with an increased facility of ordering on time. Once the facility of better and more organized menu is provided to the customers, it can be seen that the other customers would not keep on waiting and much lesser time would be taken by the serving employees to serve the customers.
The second main kind of facility that needs to be provided to the customers includes the online website. The time of the customers would also be saved once the customers are aware that they have the facility of the online website for placing their orders. One of the main facts that need to be mentioned here is that saving the times of the customers would also save the times of the company, which would help the company in making better profits (Robbins, 2005).
Recommendation
The main recommendation that can be forwarded for the fast food chain company is that changes are needed in the fast food chain restaurants. These are some of the main changes with the help of which time of the customers and the employees serving over the counters can be saved. The online websites and more organized menus will be a better facility for the customers that would help the company in earning profits. These are some of the main recommended changes with the help of which the customers would be facilitated. The customers would thereby be able to make better and timelier decisions.
As for this reason, it can be argued here that there are certain ethical responsibilities at the end of the companies that need to be considered by the executives of the company. These responsibilities need to be given more focus by the companies as there is a need that the customers are facilitates by he companies in a proper manner. The responsibilities towards the customers have been regarded as one of the main ethical responsibility of the company that needs to be completed and fulfilled on time.
