BUSN4100 Assessment 2 - Research Methods Paper

Assignment Requirements:

This assignment requires you to design a research study for a research question of your choice. 

You are required to address the following sections in the paper:

1. Introduction: State the general research aim and provide a brief overview of the paper;
2. Research Questions: State the research question and then the hypotheses or sub-questions to be tested or explored and provide a brief rationale for each;
3. Research Design: Provide an overview of the research design, including paradigm, and justification (eg. replication);
4. Sources or Sample: Describe the sources (database/reports/websites) or population/sample(s) and sampling method to be used and justify your choice with reference to the literature;
5. Instrument or Variables: Describe the instrument and/or key variables to be used and justify the choice;
6. Data Collection: Describe the data collection method/s that will be used and justify in relation to prior studies (this may not apply to those using secondary data);
7. Data Analysis: Describe how the data will be analysed to test/examine the hypotheses or explore the questions and justify the choice with reference to the literature; and
8. Limitations: Explain the limitations of the proposed methods.

 It is expected that the paper will be written in a scholarly manner with polished writing and correct use of citations and references.

 The assignment must be structured according to the tasks outlined above such that each task has a separate heading in the assignment. The marking guide below provides specific details on what needs to be addressed and on how marks are allocated.
