HOTL2008 Assignment Two – Resource Proposal

Task:  Create a resource proposal for a hypothetical event

Length: 1500 Words

This assignment is a proposal in the form of a Resource Assessment study of the Proposal/Design Brief presented in assignment one. For this task you must use your assignment one proposal after any necessary amendments have been made.

Process

Use the same proposal (report) format approach as before. You are answering the client’s questions about your proposed program by providing detailed information on:

• Production resources requirement lists (inventory) of the facilities, staging equipment & technology, audience amenities, needed to put on the proposed
• For each element of the concept program create a list of resource Make sure you include what is available already at the venue/site and note what

is required to be obtained from elsewhere and say where you will obtain it from.

• Include staffing details – the task descriptions (including location of task), the number of staff needed for each
• Also include the organisational structure – who is responsible for the supervision of each
• Make sure you include any sub-contractor requirements – explain the tasks to be performed by sub-contractors and give the sub-contracting company

Format

The Resource Proposal should take a format of a portfolio. Each required element should be a headed section, (dots point can be used in this report if needed). Note: no essay type writing needed. The only references to be used are those that direct the reader to websites where you found information about venues, performers, etc.

An executive summary should be included at the beginning of the portfolio., followed by a table of contents with page numbers.
