Gallup Strengths Quest is a helpful tool to guide student detect their extraordinary talents through Clifton Strengths assessment. Not only students but the teachers should also undertake the test to engage and have a good relationship with their students. The Clifton Strengths Assessment deliver particular information on 4 main themes that are (i) executing, (ii) influencing, (iii) relationship building and (iv) strategic thinking (Bartz, Bartz & Doctor, 2017). After performing the test, I also feel that this test can help you to detect your inner talents that you didn’t even think can help you in accomplishing greater things. The test was helpful for in coming up with new tactics to gain more knowledge and to be successful in future. Research also indicates that the college students who apply the strengths from the test to multiple situations are successful (Bowera & Lopez, 2010). The test showed me my inner capabilities that I can evolve and control in all my life. According to Maimon (2018), the strength model is highly effective when applied on the students, this can help the students to detect their capabilities and start building themselves to be a better person (as cited in Hixson-Bowles, 2019). This test is important for the students as they will get to know what are their strengths or inner talent through which they could achieve so many things in life.

After completing my test, there were a total five attributes that are my inner strengths. I am a responsible individual, the test states that those who have a responsibility as an attribute are honest and loyal. A responsible individual will lead in a group and will take upon h/herself to lead a team to success. Another trait the test detect was that of a learner, the individual who has this trait is keen to learn new things. Harmonious individuals look towards sorting out an argument rather than turning it into a fight. A conflict arose between my classmates regarding some issue during our assignment project, first I interfered in between and calm them down. Then I listened to each of their side of the story and communicated what they were feeling about each other. Due to little miscommunication, there was heated argument and by little communication, everything was sorted out. The three remaining traits were focus and consistency, the former prioritize their work and the latter are impartial and have a habit of following the rules. I was shocked when I saw I have a habit of consistency because I don’t always follow the rules although I am an impartial person and treat everyone the same regardless of their position. Responsibility and Harmony can come in handy in leadership qualities because these two traits make a person in authority of what comes next while harmony teaches a leader how to handle every situation in your team. Before starting college, I was a shy person who wasn’t keen on leading any group or taking matters into her hands but as I started college, I gained the confidence I needed. Through this test as explained by Wisner (2011) in his paper that this model can be implemented for effective leadership styles. I can now focus on how to be leader with consistency that is to follow the rules and be a strong leader who takes her team to victory.
