The task is to:
1. Provide an overview of the strengths-based approach to leadership (DeRue & Workman, 2012), the social construction of leadership (Billsberry et al., 2018) and EITHER authentic leadership (Takos, Murray, & O'Boyle, 2018) OR servant leadership (Lee, 2019).
2. Complete the full Values in Action Inventory of Strengths (VIA-IS). The full survey has 240 questions. The VIA-IS can be taken for free at http://www.viasurvey.org
a. Discuss these findings with a trusted colleague(s) to determine their accuracy
3. Summarise your character strengths based on the online assessment and qualitative feedback from your colleague(s); and,
4. Reflect on how these strengths have the potential to be perceived negatively;
5. Reflect on how developing/emphasising these strengths can enhance your capacity to be EITHER an authentic leader or servant leader.
