Students are also required to provide a brief commentary on their attitudes and beliefs in relation to this medium.

Supporting references must be used to demonstrate wide reading, understanding of the topic, and to provide validity to your arguments.

**Students are also required to provide a brief commentary on their attitudes and beliefs in relation to this medium as a final component to this paper.  This is the only part that you are permitted to write in the first person.

Learning outcomes:

1. Identify and document the stages of children’s visual art development and make links to literacy and mathematics development 
2. Examine with regard to relevant theories, how visual arts can enrich and support children’s diverse ways of making meaning of their experiences and expressing and sharing that meaning with others
3. Demonstrate the ability to provide an integrated curriculum in collaboration with children, their families and the community that supports the important role of art as a means of cultural expression
4. Analyse their own beliefs and attitudes towards visual art and aesthetic education
