You have been provided with a budget of $1000 for the style guide project. The following resources have been allocated for this project:

  • You are allowed to engage a casual administration assistant for tasks such as formatting, filing, typing, etc. The rate of pay for this assistant would be $22/hour.
  • Your responsibilities are to develop the content and do the proof reading before submitting it for approval to the owners. Your rate of pay is $35/hour.
  • The company will provide reasonable resources e.g. access to office workstations, computers and software as per recommendations at actuals.

You have been asked to manage the project within the budget and timelines and also ensure it includes all organisational guidelines and information and technology requirements. Your aim should be to prepare costing below $1000.

Task 1

Prepare a cost estimation for the style guide project, including a description of tasks, resources and time required and total costs.

You should manage the costs within the given budget.

The task and time allocation should be logical and according to the instructions given by the organisation in the description.

Task 2

You are to develop the style guide for internal and external documents created at CrossFit Endurance, such as emails, business letters, etc. You do not have to create templates for this task.

The style guide should address the following requirements for designing, saving and storing documents and templates and include:

  • use of logo (e.g. colour, size, placement, etc.)
  • page layout (e.g. numbering, header contents, footer contents, version identification, copyright information, etc.)
  • instructions for editing and finalising (e.g. proof reading, checklist of things to check when approving print proofs, etc.)
  • document approval protocol (e.g. authority for final sign off)
  • document naming conventions and saving protocols (e.g. file names and version information)

The style guide should be no longer than 4 pages.
